Introduction
Bajiaozhai Scenic Area, located in Datuo village, Meixi town, Ziyuan county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, spans an approximate area of 40 square kilometers. The main peak of the area reaches an elevation of 818 meters, acquiring its name due to its octagonal shape at the summit. It is also known as Yuntai Mountain due to the frequent misty clouds that envelop the peaks. The scenic area is well-renowned for its unique landscapes and geological formations, which include notable attractions such as Luosi Mountain, Eye Stone, Divine Eagle Stone, Ginseng Stone, remnants of ancient castles, and Elephant Welcoming Guests stone formations.
The area features a passenger cableway that provides accessibility to these stunning formations. The Danxia peak forest is a prominent feature, composed of isolated yet closely related mountain masses with peak heights ranging from 450 meters to 818 meters. The valleys between the peaks often form narrow "U" or "V" shapes. The peaks display distinct characteristics of steep bodies, sloping tops, and gentle bases, taking on shapes like square mountains, stone walls, stone pillars, and steep cliffs or smooth conical and tower-like formations. These formations conjure the imagery of castles and trenches, with the potential energy of an army poised for battle, exuding grandeur and inspiring heroic sentiments.

One of the most striking features is the Luosi Mountain, also known as "Turtle Watching the Sky," composed of four massive conical stone peaks that rise dramatically from the landscape. These peaks, standing at over 100 to 200 meters high, are emblematic of the area's grandeur and natural artistry.
